Aim

This site is primarily for the benefit of non-masons, who may wish to know more about
Freemasonry – particularly, for those curious about Romiley Lodge. The aim is to foster in men
over the age of 20, a general interest in joining Freemasonry. Members of Romiley Lodge will be
pleased to talk to anyone, seeking help and advice.

About Freemasonry

It is recommended that you visit the official web site of the Province of Cheshire, at www.cheshiremasons.co.uk.

The site will provide you with a brief introduction to Freemasonry. It gives an overview of the principles, history, lodges and activity of the Freemasons of Cheshire - in particular, our charitable work.

About Us

Romiley Lodge is one of 14 craft lodges of the Hyde Division, within the Province of Cheshire. The lodge is governed by the Constitutions of the United Grand Lodge of England.

Meetings are held 8 times a year. This includes the annual installation in November of a new Master and appointment of his team of Officers.

The Province of Cheshire is the oldest established province, under the jurisdiction of the UGLE.
